Ominous Knife is a Subsidiary of Paradigm Power Inc.

If one were to add up all the cash Warren’s used to bail Victor out it would probably be, like, way up there. Somewhere around luxury cruise money would be my guess. But don’t be misled into thinking it’s a one-way street. Victor’s provided his own unique brand of service to Paradigm Power Inc. For a while he was PPI’s layoff guy: To inform newly-terminated employees that they were fired, Victor would run at them in a frenzy, screaming in his own special language. He would sometimes brandish a stick and would almost always be shirtless. You’d be surprised how clearly that got the message across.

The headline you see in Warren’s office is real, by the way. It turns out that while there are a bunch of flags on the moon very little property up there is actually owned, much to the surprise and chagrin of the landed gentry who’d taken up residency there. It would seem that lunar tenant contracts aren’t honored in an environment with air.

The long and short of this is that it’s probably best to avoid looking up at the night sky, at least for a little while. Paradigm Power Inc. charges for moon viewings by the hour, and they increase with the amount of moon visible. A crescent moon might only set you back by eight bucks; the gibbous phase could take your whole paycheck, depending on how long you enjoy it. And don’t even ask how much a full moon will run you.

Oh, and as for Gladys, well…it’s best not to talk about that here. The thing hears like a bat.
