Playing House, Pt. 3

Karma is a cruel jerk. Since starting this story, one of our friends has fallen ill, and now I’m down for the count. It’s only a matter of time until we get another strip detailing Kevin’s harrowing adventures as a hallucinating psycho who sold his soul to Mephistopheles.

Being sick totally sucks, especially in the winter. You’re cold, and it’s cold outside, so you can’t really escape. Then there’s the constant leaking of bodily fluids, the aches and pains, and of course the loss of magical aptitude. I can barely conjure up a fireball at this point, and the worst has yet to come.

And then there are the hallucinations.

Anyone who knows me or Kevin should know by now what I’m talking about, but if not then let me explain. When we get sick, we start to imagine things that aren’t really there, which is creepy in its own right, but downright terrifying when you consider our responses. I once had a forty-five minute long conversation with a man who called himself “The Deeper” and who gave me great ideas for video games stories. I wrote them down, and when I came to I realized it was just a recipe for beef stew.

Kevin’s story involves Iron Man, Darfur, and a troubled young man who doesn’t exist. Ask him about it; once he’s done screaming you’ll get an entertaining little anecdote.

In other news, apparently New York Comic Con was awesome, but since pretty much all of you went you probably already know that. Stay tuned to Ominous Knife for highlights of the trip, and a very special message from that Nigerian guy!

I’m not sure I see the difference between your description of being I’ll and the experience of knowing you both in general

I laughed a little bit when i read this the first time, then i read it again, saw that calvin was holding potion and laughed even harder. Also, they had better leave, Samuel L. Jackson looks angry.
